NATURE SCHOOL’S
Striding along the beach aimlessly
Glancing at my footprints washed away
Naively stepped aside built sand houses
Boasting of my making powers .
Flat across the sands I lay stretching
Expectations soaring high and mighty
In smug feeling of vague falsity
Duping myself in to believing .
Fantasying permanence that never was
Sojourning in world of imagination
Like blissfully ignorant country girl
Exposed newly to city bred life
Fervently mumbling sincere ejaculations,
And as if strictly adhering to decorum
Waters too refrained from encroachment
Hours lapsed eventually ending joys .
While ebbing tides had assisted
Rising tides quickly rushed
Ruthlessly dashing down my sand house
Salty tears rolled onto salty sea mingled .
Disappointed , Transience is Permanent
A lesson hard but well and truly learnt.
